Karla Neely

My name is Karla Neely.  I have been part of Vista PEAK since the campus opened in 2010 as the Math Teacher Coach and in 2013 became the Assistant Principal at the Exploratory building.  I began my career in education in 1990 after graduating with my bachelors from the University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire.  I spent 3  years teaching 3rd grade in El Paso, TX and then moved to Aurora in 1993 where I began teaching at Crawford Elementary.  I spent 14 years at Crawford; the last 5 of which I was a 1/2 time math teacher leader.  During my time at Crawford I also went back to school and received my masters degree from the University of Colorado at Denver in Curriculum and Instruction with an Emphasis in Second Language Learners and received my Certificate for K-12 ELA.  In 2007, I moved into a Math District Coach role where I had the opportunity to work in many different buildings including middle school and high school.  During that time I attended the Aurora Leadership Institute through Denver University were I received my principal's license.

I currently live in Brighton with my husband and 2 daughters.  We enjoy playing with our pets, spending time outdoors, boating, camping and going 4-wheeling in my husbands oversized jeep.
