Boundary Change Decision

APS Board of Education Makes Decision on School Boundary Changes

After careful consideration, the Aurora Public Schools Board of Education has approved a new attendance area for the new P-8 school being built in the Harmony subdivision.

Beginning in the 2020-21 school year, students residing in the Foxridge Farms and Singletree neighborhoods will now attend the new P-8 school being built in Harmony. In addition to these neighborhood changes, students residing in the Brandon Park and Sunchase neighborhoods will now attend Aurora Frontier P-8. (See map below for details). This decision will not result in any changes to school boundaries during the current school year.

Bus transportation will be provided to eligible students in accordance with BOE policy. Transportation information will be mailed directly to eligible students and their families in the coming weeks.

Last spring, APS established an attendance area committee comprised of parents, staff and community members. As part of the attendance area process, APS held several open houses to share information about proposed boundary scenarios with affected school families and collected survey feedback from parents. The Board of Education considered this feedback in making their boundary decision.
