STEM
Vista Peak Exploratory offers Project Lead the Way as a part of our STEM programming. A hands on, exploratory curriculum, PLTW engages students in multiple modalities through Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Programming such as Robotics, Medical Detectives, and Aerospace Engineering are just a few of the fun and engaging experiences students have opportunities to participate in. Students will engage in STEM learning through individual exploratory classes as well as through integration into their core science classes.

Additional Exploratory Programing
Vista Peak Exploratory offers a wide range of visual, digital, and technical arts, performance arts including choir, theater, musical theater, theater production, guitar, orchestra, and band along with offering physical education classes. Students in K-2 classes learn the fundamental aspects of our different exploratory classes, then expand this knowledge into general application in 3-5 grade, developing into specialized learning and specific classes as they enter middle school. All of our exploratory classes help create the foundational knowledge students will need as they enter even more advanced and specialized options in high school. Students also have opportunities to showcase work at full theater productions held at our high school auditorium as well as concerts and programs hosted at our school. Visual art work is often showcased at district and state shows and competitions.
Vista Peak Exploratory utilizes the Wit and Wisdom Curriculum. A comprehensive, knowledge based curriculum, Wit and Wisdom builds deep content knowledge of students through engaging fiction and non-fiction texts. Students dive into critical thinking and conversations through a series of diverse units. Integrating science and social studies, students explore learning through contexts from the Civil Rights Movement to exploring the natural wonders in our ocean environment. As early as kindergarten students begin to learn the skills of interacting in a Socratic Seminar and build on this understanding throughout their educational career.
