Hi! My name is Regina Strada. This is my 6th year at Vista Peak, and I couldn't be more excited about the great opportunity to teach 6-8 Literature! I moved to the Denver area in the summer of 2013, specifically to continue my career in education. Prior to my arrival at VPE, I taught for a number of years in Upstate New York. It was during this time that I also completed my Masters in Elementary Education at Nazareth College of Rochester.
I have an eclectic background, having traveled extensively in the United States and abroad. Teaching is only part of my resume. I have also worked in a number of recreational settings, served in crisis counseling for individuals struggling with addiction, and have invested much of my life supporting children and adults with special needs.
My hobbies include camping, hiking, skiing, painting, and exploring music through dance. I also took up cycling 7 years ago, and have found this to be an incredible way to see the world closely. I aspire to always seek adventure in nature, and feel that living in Colorado lends itself to being a perfect place to fulfill this journey.
Family is most important to me, and I am blessed to have two amazing sons to share life with. Christopher and Joseph are thrill seekers, who keep me motivated and healthy. We embrace every day with hopes of learning something new, and we find great reward in simply exploring outdoors. We love to find interesting places that have historical significance, resulting in a home filled with treasures from our lifetime of "Adventure Days".
I am so grateful to be a part of the Vista Peak experience, and look forward to continued learning and growth within this amazing community!!
